AHTV is a new initiative designed to bring together arts and humanities researchers and TV professionals in order to foster collaboration, brought to you by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and Edinburgh TV Festival Talent Schemes. The inaugural day on February 7th, 2019 included talks and panels with arts and humanities programme-makers and commissioners, and academics working on subject areas rich for development in TV.

The keynote was delivered by historian and broadcaster David Olusoga, with sessions throughout the day including the BBC, Sky Arts, National Geographic, Channel 4, Lion, Plimsoll and Nutopia. The day concluded with over 160 pre-matched meetings between academics and TV professionals.
