Jane Turton has spent nine years at All3Media having been promoted to head up the company in 2015 when it was sold by Permira to Discovery and Liberty Global.  She is responsible for setting and implementing the businesses’ global strategy, and driving growth both organically and through acquisition.

Turton joined All3 from ITV Network where she was director of commercial and business affairs, and with posts at Granada and ITV Studios, as well as within the indie sector, she has garnered a reputation over the years for combining creative know-how with business acumen.

Board and executive committee chair Graham Stuart, said: “Having worked with Jane at United Productions many years ago, I knew that her sharp business brain and strategic insight would see her rise to the top of the industry. I’m delighted to welcome her to the board where her knowledge and passion for the TV business will be of huge benefit to the Festival.”

The board of Directors is responsible for corporate governance and the strategic direction of the TV Festival. The Board members are directors of both The Edinburgh Television Festival Council (the charitable parent) and Edinburgh International Television Festival Limited (the wholly owned subsidiary). The Directors have ultimate responsibility for the Festival.  These senior TV and digital professionals meet at least four times a year to discuss finance, governance, general strategy and longer-term goals, as well as ensuring the Festival fulfils its charitable aims. Other members are BBC director of content, Charlotte Moore; Angela Jain, managing director, ITV Studios Entertainment; Alan Clements, director of content, STV; Chris Shaw, editorial director, ITN Productions’ and Peter Salmon, CEO Endemol Shine.
